We’re delighted to share highlights from the AGROECO Youth Exchange, hosted by Morocco’s Friends Foundation and coordinated by Puntland Community ry (Finland) within the framework of the AGROECO project, co-funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Programme.

From 11 to 17 May 2025, 24 young participants from Morocco, Finland, Italy, and Egypt gathered in Tiznit to explore the power of agroecology — combining sustainability, entrepreneurship, and intercultural learning.

Throughout the week, participants:

– Engaged in interactive workshops on sustainable agriculture and agroecological practices

– Visited educational farms and cooperatives producing Argan and cereals

– Took part in traditional Moroccan leathercraft workshops

– Discovered the natural beauty of Lagzira Beach and local cultural heritage

– Developed action plans to promote green entrepreneurship and community farming back home

This inspiring youth exchange strengthened South–North cooperation and empowered rural youth to become changemakers in the green transition, linking environmental sustainability with inclusion and employment.
